Electronic commerce in the public sector in Sweden

Many Swedish local authorities, county councils an government authorities have started trading electronically. On this web site Single Face To Industry (SFTI) is presented. It is a joint effort, with representation from all three levels, on marketing and awareness activities related to electronic procurement, on development of common specifications, on encouragement of systems development and implementation, and on support to interoperability.

Solutions

The main specification cover scenarios for ordering/invoicing under framework agreement and periodic invoicing. Implementations are made by several IT suppliers offering their systems and services to the market. Examples of IT suppliers are

News

A simple XML-based electronic invoice and a basic ebXML transport profile have recently been adopted as SFTI. The specifications is available here.
